Every time I learn a new language now I want to learn it in the country where it's spoken.  In America, we would have spent a week learning the alphabet, numbers 1-100, and how to say ciao.  I've been taking Italian here for two and a half weeks, and these are some phrases I learned to say today:

After class I take a walk.

Those boys are hot.

After class I take a walk with hot boys.

At night, for fun, I go to the club with my friends.

There are a lot of Italian boys at the clubs.

Italian boys go to clubs because they like American girls.

American girls go to clubs because they like to dance and drink.

I did karaoke last weekend.  It was a bad idea, never again.

I also learned how to say various activities I would do during a typical day like showering, eating breakfast, shopping, getting gelato...but that wasn't nearly as fun to talk about to my Italian teacher.
